Following on from the unveiling at this years CES 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the EinScan-S white light 3D scanner has now launched its Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign with the aim of raising $50,000 to help it jump into production.
The EinScan-S white light 3D scanner is the world’s first white light desktop 3D scanner and provides a safe 3D scanning environment that is both fast and accurate to use full creative 3D printing projects. Watch the video below to learn more about this innovative and very unique 3D scanner.
The EinScan-S scanner is capable of an accuracy of 0.1mm and is equipped with two cameras and takes roughly 3 minutes to scan an object. Its creator explains a little more :
“With EinScan-S, you can scan whatever object you like automatically, turn it into a digital 3D model on your computer. The standard STL format model is seamlessly compatible with any desktop 3D printers. You don’t even need to be an professional 3D model engineer, all the digital models are ready to print.
This scanner adopts structure white light scanning technology, which features faster scanning speed (3 minutes /circle, much faster than similar desktop 3d scanner), lower noise, better details (accuracy ≤0.1mm) , safer for eyes compared to laser scanning technology. “
