Dyson has this week unveiled it new mini cylinder vacuum cleaner in the form of the Dyson DC37 that is now equipped with Dyson’s ball technology. The ball technology normally associated with Dyson’s larger upright vacuum cleaners has now been squeezed into the new Dyson DC37 enabling more movement from the smaller footprint cleaners.
Dyson ball technology first appeared back in 2005 in their DC15 model, now the same technology houses all the workings of the new DC37 with over 100 components fitted inside the ball. Which also provides the pivot for the vacuum to rotate on, making manoeuvrability much easier.
James Dyson explains:
“We thrive on engineering challenges, and our first Ball cylinder posed quite a few. Cramming over 100 components into the ball itself. Compressing the airways, concealing the motor and ducting and devising a new steering mechanism. We’ve miniaturized the technology to deliver our most maneuverable cylinder vacuum yet,”
