The Digital Amplifier Company has taken to Kickstarter this week to launch its new Cherry mini MEGAschino high-performance stereo amplifier which offers a more affordable alternative to the acclaimed MEGAschino. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the new stereo amplifier board which is available to back from $1,600 or roughly £1,232.
Its creators explain more about the stereo amplifiers inspiration and design. “The Cherry Maraschino Module is based on the Cherry Maraschino amplifier board (roughly 3″ x 4″). This board is now used in several products. However, it is too large to use in tight spaces and requires wire harnesses to operate in a product. We developed this board in several stages…. We have developed a module version of our proprietary Maraschino amplifier circuitry in a compact (less than 2″ x 2″ x 1/2″) board-mounted format. “
“We have already built and tested these modules, and they have been validated by use in non-Cherry amplifiers. We learned from our experience with the Maraschino (non-module) and MEGAschino designs and plan to implement similar improvements in our new modules. In fact, these modules can be placed in sockets so they can easily be exchanged for newer versions in the future.”
