This week Casio has unveiled it new line of “lamp-free” projectors, using a combination of laser, LED and fluorescent elements rather than the standard fairly delicate projector bulbs of old.
The new range of Slim Projectors can be tailored to the end user requirements. Whether it be high brightness up to 3,500 lumens, improved connectivity, MobiShow, or a Pro AV unit with 3D capabilities.
Casio’s Laser & LED Hybrid Light Source combines blue laser light and a fluorescent element to generate a high output of green light. This green light together with the blue laser light, and the light emitted by a red LED are then projected through a DLP chip which, in turn, is passed through the projection lens to form an image.
The new technology provides an increase in colour spectrum compared with a mercury lamp, while providing a much more reasonability priced projector. More information on the new range of projectors is available from the casioprojector.com website.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as it becomes available we will let you know.
