Canon is the latest company that is launching a cloud storage service, called Canon Irista, it is designed to let you store your photos from your Canon DSLR’s and other cameras.

Canon Irista comes with a desktop application which lets you upload and sync your photos, at the moment there is not a mobile applications for the service, although that may change in the future.

The service is available for free, and you get 10GB of storage for free, although if you are taking a lot of photos with your DSLR, then you may need more storage.

Canon will also offer paid storage options on Canon Irista, 50GB will cost you £4.49 per month or £45 per year, if you need more than that then you can get 100GB for £9.99 a month or £99 per year.

The Canon Irista photo storage service will let you search for photos with tags, and you can add details to each image, like the location it was taken with and what lens was used.

10GB of free is pretty good, with services like Dropbox you get 2GB for free, so this new Canon Irista service could be useful if you take a lot of photos, you can find out more information at the link below.
