Following on from the announcement during September 2017 confirming support for Google Assistant, this year Bose have announced that their QuietComfort 35 II noise cancelling wireless headphones have now received support for the Amazon Alexa service.
The wireless headphones are now optimised for both Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant offering “simple voice control on the go”, explains Bose. In order to update your QC 35’s and change the options to allow Alexa to be your assistant of choice, follow the instructions below.
– Open the Bose Connect app and install the new software.
– Once the update is installed, select See My Options and you can choose to use Amazon Alexa from the Bose Connect app.
– If you haven’t already downloaded the Amazon Alexa app, you’ll be prompted to do so.
– Make sure your pair your QC35 IIs to the Alexa app, too.
– After you’ve done all this, you’re ready to start talking. Just hit the Action button on the QC35II and ask away. No need to say “Alexa.”
“QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II are optimized for Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant. That means you can enjoy entertainment, get information and manage your day—all with your voice. Whichever you choose, you’re covered. Just press and hold the Action button for help. And the QC35 II headphones still feature our world-class noise cancelling technology that blocks noise and lets you lose yourself in your music. If you’re not an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant user, don’t worry. With Custom Control, you can still use the Action button to adjust your level of noise cancellation between three settings.”
