Last month, RIM announced its new range of BlackBerry smartphones. We just received an email from the team over at Clove to inform us about the UK release dates for several of these new BlackBerry smartphones.
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 will be available in the UK starting from the 26th of September. Meanwhile, the new BlackBerry Torch 9810 and the BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be available in the UK from the 3rd of October.
BlackBerry Torch 9860: A New Era of Touchscreen Experience
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is set to revolutionize the touchscreen experience for BlackBerry users. This model features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, which is the largest ever on a BlackBerry device. The high-resolution screen promises to deliver crisp and vibrant visuals, making it ideal for multimedia consumption, web browsing, and gaming. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and comes with 768 MB of RAM, ensuring smooth performance and multitasking capabilities.
One of the standout features of the Torch 9860 is its Liquid Graphics technology, which provides a highly responsive and fluid touch experience. This makes navigating through the phone’s interface and applications a breeze. Additionally, the device comes with a 5-megapixel camera capable of recording 720p HD video, making it a versatile tool for capturing life’s moments.
BlackBerry Torch 9810 and Curve 9360: Versatility and Affordability
The BlackBerry Torch 9810, on the other hand, offers a blend of touchscreen and physical keyboard functionality. It features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display along with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, catering to users who prefer the tactile feedback of physical keys. The device is also powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and includes 768 MB of RAM, ensuring that it can handle demanding applications and multitasking with ease.
The Torch 9810 also boasts a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities. It runs on the BlackBerry 7 OS, which offers a range of new features and enhancements, including improved browser performance, voice-activated search, and support for augmented reality applications.
The BlackBerry Curve 9360 is designed for users seeking an affordable yet feature-rich smartphone. It comes with a 2.44-inch display and a full QWERTY keyboard, making it ideal for messaging and email. The device is powered by an 800 MHz processor and includes 512 MB of RAM, which should be sufficient for everyday tasks and moderate multitasking.
The Curve 9360 also features a 5-megapixel camera, although it lacks HD video recording capabilities. However, it does come with the BlackBerry 7 OS, offering many of the same software enhancements found in the higher-end models.
As of now, there are no details on exact pricing for these models. Although Clove has put all three models up for pre-order, the pricing is yet to be confirmed. We are also waiting to find out some pricing and launch date information from a number of mobile carriers here in the UK.
The new range of BlackBerry smartphones represents a significant step forward for RIM, as the company aims to regain its foothold in the competitive smartphone market. With a variety of models catering to different user preferences and budgets, RIM is clearly aiming to appeal to a broad audience.
