Not too long ago, the Android-powered Blackberry Priv went up for pre-orders on Rogers Canada carrying a $949 price tag.
Recently, the BlackBerry Priv went up for pre-orders on ShopBlackBerry carrying a whopping $749 price tag, but customers can’t just place their orders at the moment. Furthermore, the listing mentioned that the shipments will commence on November 16th.
The pre-order listing has been removed from company’s website, it seems someone pushed the gun a little early. But, at least, we now have an idea about the price and availability of the handset.
As far as the specifications are concerned, we have a pretty good idea what the handset will come with. The handset will come with a 5.4-inch display boasting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels with 540 ppi pixel density, and will be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
There’s 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card support of up to 2TB, an 18 MP rear camera for photos and videos, 2MP front-facing camera, a 3410 mAh battery and ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as its operating system. Despite being powered by Android, BlackBerry claims that the new BlackBerry Priv is secure and comes with a number of security services from the company.
