It looks like things are finally looking up for BlackBerry, the company recently launched their first BlackBerry 10 smartphone, the BlackBerry Z10, which has seen strong sales since launch.
And now BlackBerry has announced that they have had an order of 1 million BlackBerry smartphones from one of their customers, and this is apparently the largest order they have ever had.
“An order for 1 million devices is a tremendous vote of confidence in BlackBerry 10,” Rick Costanzo, executive vice president of global sales for the Waterloo, Ontario-based company, said yesterday in a statement. “Consumers are ready for a new user experience, and BlackBerry 10 delivers. With strong partner support, coupled with this truly re-invented new platform, we have a powerful recipe for success.”
BlackBerry are obviously doing something right with their BlackBerry 10 OS, and it will be interesting to see how sales continue of these new devices, the first BlackBerry 10 devices will launch in the US this month, hopefully sales of the devices in the US will be as strong as in other countries.
