Christmas light technology really hasn’t advanced that much over the last few years, one company is looking to change that with their Aura wireless powered Christmas lights.
According to the creators of the Aura Christmas lights, these are the first ever wireless powered Christmas lights, and they are looking to raise $50,000 on Kickstarter to out them into production.
From the beginning, Aura was designed to be a safer Christmas light. By removing the wires that short circuit, heat, or spark in your tree, Aura eliminates the potential fire hazards of traditional Christmas lights. For even more safety, we only use LEDs which produce close to zero heat.
The video below shows how the Aura Christmas lights works, unfortunately they will not be available for this Christmas, but if they get funded then they will be available next year.
You can find out more details about the Aura wireless Christmas lights over at Kickstarter at the link below, there is an early bird available for the lights and the charger for $65.
The lights are available in a range of colors, and they can be turned on an off using your smartphone.
