Audio Technica has unveiled their first true wireless earbuds in the form of the ATH-CKR7TW and ATH-SPORT7TW which come complete with their own wireless charging case and support Bluetooth 5.0 and aptX, AAC, and SBC codecs. The new wireless earbuds are available in either grey or black finishes and include “an interchangeable 3D loop” for added support.
The wireless earbuds can provide up to 3.5 hours of playback on a full charge and the charging case provides another 16 hours worth of top ups. Priced at €199 or £179 for the ATH-SPORT7TW and £229 or €249 for the ATH-CKR7TW, the new wireless earbuds also joined by new, long-lasting ATH-SR30BT (£99 / €99) and noise-reducing ATH-SR50BT (£179 /€199) on-ear Bluetooth headphones at IFA 2018 this week in Berlin.
“To maximise driver performance the acoustic and electronic compartments are isolated to minimise the airflow that can adversely affect the audio. The result is a clear, accurate, high resolution fidelity. Elsewhere, the audio-grade digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) and amplifier components are carefully designed to ensure the signal stream can deliver high-quality audio reproduction.”
Expect the Audio Technic ATH-CKR7TW and ATH-SPORT7TW true wireless earbuds to be available sometime during the fall 2018. As more information comes to light will keep you up to speed as always.
