Not too long ago, we heard that AT&T is planning to roll out an update for its HTC One M8, and it seems the time has arrived.
Before you get too excited, it’s not the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, but the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update, bumping the software version to 3.42.502.1, and brings VoLTE support, AT&T Ready2Go as well as plethora of bug fixes and improvements.
Here’s the complete change log for the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the HTC One M8:
- Enables HD Voice
- Updates Android OS to Android 4.4.4
- Security enhancement
- Bluetooth enhancement
- Adds AMBS Cloud Messaging Integration
- Adds Copy and Paste camera feature
- Adds Usage Manager App
- Improves battery performance
- Updates AT&T Ready2Go
- Updates Visual Voicemail
The update is rolling out as we speak, but it may take a few days to completely reach all devices — you should see a notification when the update is available for your handset. However, if you can’t wait for the OTA update to arrive, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > AT&T Software update > Check for updates.
Let us know using the comments below if you’ve received the update, along with your thoughts about the performance.
