Earlier rumors suggest that Nokia Lumia 1520 will land on AT&T in November. The device was leaked extensively in the past with images showing the design and features the 6-inch phablet is expected to bring at the table. A new rumor suggests that Nokia Lumia 1520 will launch on 8th November on AT&T for $699 off-contract and will be available in an array of colors.
The folks at WPCentral mentioned last week that the handset will land on AT&T in November. Now, citing another person familiar with the matter, Nokia Lumia 1520 codenamed Beastie will land on AT&T on 8th November in four colors: red, yellow, white and black. The purported handset will come with an off-contract price tag of $699. There is no news about the on-contract pricing as of now, but it should launch with a similar price as Lumia 1020, which is $299 with two-year contract.
The device was rumored to launch on September 26th, but it seems the event has been postponed. Evleaks suggest that the event will take place on October 22nd, but the folks at WPCentral said it’s the announcement date with an official release date two week later – November 8th. The handset is also expected to launch on Verizon as seen in a leaked image we saw few days back.
Nokia Lumia 1520 is rumored to feature a 6-inch display with 1080p resolution, Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage with microSD card slot, 3,400 mAh battery and runs Windows Phone 8 GDR3 out of the box. The phablet is also expected to feature a 20MP camera with Pureview Technology and dual-shot capabilities to capture snapshots at 16MP + 5Mp simultaneously.
