Asus has been in the computer peripheral market for a long time, even though that’s not segment of the company is really known for. Asus has been producing gaming mice and gaming keyboards under its Republic of Gamers line and has added a new mouse to the product mix. The mouse is called the Eagle Eye GX1000.
The mouse has adjustable sensitivity ranging from 50 to 8,200 dpi and has customizable software. The mouse supports the binding of six different macros and has three different shift states. The mouse is very attractive with a brushed aluminum top that should ensure durability.
The mouse also has a customizable weight cartridge allowing the user to add up to five additional 5 g weights to the mouse’s own 150 g heft. The mouse be available soon and will cost around $100. That price might sound a bit high, but in the realm of high-end gaming mice it’s not too bad.
