On Monday Asus introduced a new version of their Transformer Android tablet, the Asus Transformer Pad 300, which is designed to be a cheaper version of their Transformer Prime Tablet.
we still don’t have an official launch date for the Transformer Pad 300, although it looks like it could be getting closer to release as the new Android tablet has appeared at the FCC.
As a reminder the Transformer Pad 300 is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and it comes with a 10.1 inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The Asus Transformer Pad also comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage, the device comes with a plastic casing instead and a keyboard dock, it is expected to retail for around $399.
