This month the new update has been rolled out to the AR Core rich and support for its first Chromebook Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, and many more. The ARCore v1.4 update has now added support for the the augmented reality framework to Chromebooks.
Back in May of this year, Google launched a major update to their classroom-oriented Expeditions platform that added Augmented Reality to the VR learning program. Now that the Google Chrome OS is so widespread in the education sector it is no surprise then that the team over at Android Police uncovered the addition of ARCore support for the first Chromebook uniform of the Acer Chromebook Tab 10.
An APK teardown of the latest build of Google’s ARCore augmented reality platform revealed a rather large list of newly supported Android devices including the upcoming Pixel 3 and 3 XL. A full list of newly supported devices thanks to the ARCore v1.4 update include :
