In the video below we get to look at the design and the features of the latest iPad Pro, this is the larger model of the two which starts at $999.
As we can see from the video the new iPad Pro is equipped with some impressive hardware, the device is powered by Apple’s new A12X Bionic processor.
The device comes with a new display that features a much slimmer bezel than previous models and it also comes with Apple’s Face ID. The tablet also comes with the same camera as the iPhone XR and iPhone XS.
Prices for the new iPad Pro start at $799 for the 11 inch model and $999 for the 12.9 inch model, the top model with the top 1TB cellular 12.9 inch model costs a massive $1,899.
Design and Display
The design of the new iPad Pro is a significant departure from its predecessors. The most noticeable change is the reduction in bezel size, which gives the device a more modern and sleek appearance. The Liquid Retina display is not only larger but also more vibrant, offering a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels for the 12.9-inch model. This makes it ideal for everything from watching movies to editing photos and videos. The display also supports ProMotion technology, which adjusts the refresh rate up to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and more responsive touch input.
Performance and Features
Under the hood, the iPad Pro is powered by the A12X Bionic chip, which includes an 8-core CPU and a 7-core GPU. This makes it one of the most powerful tablets on the market, capable of handling demanding tasks such as 4K video editing and 3D rendering with ease. The device also supports up to 1TB of storage, making it a viable option for professionals who need a portable yet powerful computing device.
One of the standout features of the new iPad Pro is Face ID, which replaces the traditional Touch ID. This allows for secure facial recognition to unlock the device and authenticate purchases. The camera system is also noteworthy, featuring a 12MP rear camera and a 7MP TrueDepth front camera, the same as those found in the iPhone XR and iPhone XS. This ensures high-quality photos and videos, as well as enhanced augmented reality experiences.
The iPad Pro also supports the new Apple Pencil, which attaches magnetically to the side of the device for easy storage and charging. This makes it an excellent tool for artists and designers who require precision and convenience.
Connectivity and Accessories
Another significant update is the switch from the traditional Lightning port to a USB-C port. This change opens up a range of possibilities for connectivity, allowing users to connect external monitors, cameras, and other peripherals directly to the iPad Pro. This makes it a more versatile device, suitable for a wider range of professional applications.
In addition to the Apple Pencil, the iPad Pro is compatible with the new Smart Keyboard Folio, which provides a full-sized keyboard and doubles as a protective cover. This accessory is particularly useful for those who need to type extensively, turning the iPad Pro into a more laptop-like experience.
Overall, the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro is a powerhouse of a tablet, combining cutting-edge technology with a sleek design. Its high price point may be a barrier for some, but for professionals who need a versatile and powerful device, it could be a worthwhile investment. Whether you’re a creative professional, a business user, or simply someone who wants the best tablet experience available, the new iPad Pro is worth considering.
