Apple’s iPhone 8 will come with a major redesign, the handset is expected to have a stainless steel chassis and a glass back and front.
According to a recent report, Apple will not include a fingerprint scanner in the iPhone 8, this news comes from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo.
Apple’s iPhone 8 will feature an edge to edge OLED display and Apple had previously intended to have the fingerprint scanner under the display. Recent rumors have suggested that the fingerprint scanner under the display is not ready for this years iPhone 8.
According to the latest information, Apple will ditch the fingerprint scanner in this years iPhone 8 and will use facial recognition instead for security.
This sounds like an interesting solution to their problem with the under glass fingerprint scanner, although we are not sure how well this solution will work with Apple Pay which relies on a fingerprint scanner.
Apple’s iPhone 8 will also come with a new A11 processor and iOS 11, the handset will feature dual rear cameras is a vertical setup.
Apple are also rumored to launch two more iPhones, an iPhone 7S and 7S Plus, both handsets will apparently get a new design over the existing devices.
We are expecting Apple to launch their new iPhone 8 some time in September, as soon as we get some more details about the handset, we will let you guys know.
