Apple launched its iCloud service at the same time as the launch of the iPhone 4S, we heard a couple of weeks ago that iCloud had reached 85 million users, and now Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has announced that iCloud now has over 100 million users around the world.
That is an increase of 15 million users in just 21 days, which is pretty impressive, and Tim Cook also revealed that iCloud is a long term strategy for Apple, which the company will be developing.
He didn’t reveal any plans for iCloud in the future, although we suspect Apple has big plans for the service, and intends to develop it at the core of its devices.
I suspect we will see movie streaming added to Apple’s iCloud in the future, as Apple’s iTunes Match seems to have become popular for music streaming, as well as a number of other services.
