We have been hearing rumors for a while that Apple are getting ready to launch a new Apple TV, the Apple TV 3, and we are expecting the device to be announced at the same time as the new iPad 3 next month.
According to a recent report from The Verge, stock of the existing TV is running out, and one UK PC retailer has told their employees that they have no more Apple TV’s for sale and have no idea on when the stock will be replaced.
This gives a good indication that Apple are about to release the new Apple TV3, as a number of other retailers as well as PC World are showing the device out of stock.
Amazon, Best Buy, Target and more companies in the US currently don’t have the existing Apple TV available, and this many retailers all saying the same thing gives us a pretty good idea that we will see the Apple TV 3 next month.
References to the Apple TV 3 have already been discovered in iOS 5.1 and the device is reported to be capable of playing Full HD video in 1080p, as opposed to 720p on the existing Apple TV.
