According to a new report from BGR, Apple is expected to release an iOS 8 update next week, citing their sources.
The publication was unable to confirm if it’s a beta version or a public release, but the update could arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.
While BGR is not confirmed about the update, the folks at MacRumors have spotted an in increase in the number of visits from Apple networks with devices running on iOS 8.1.3. Surprisingly, the number of visits rose significantly in the past week hinting at iOS 8.1.3 to be the update.
There’s no word about the features which will come with the update, but it’s believed to be a minor update similar to iOS 8.1.2, and will focus mostly on bug fixes and improvements. The next big update could be iOS 8.2, which was seeded to developers in November.
The report from MacRumors, citing their source, further suggests that Apple has seeded iOS 8.1.3 build 12B460 to retail select retail employees, which is one of the reason for the increase in the number of visits, and focuses on under-the-hood improvements which aren’t too apparent.
