According to a new report, Apple has started iPhone screen protector installation program in Japan, in partnership with Belkin.
Apple iPhone users can drop by their nearest Apple Store and get the Belkin screen protector professionally installed on their iPhone using an installation machine.
To get the things up and running, the Apple employee first clears off any dust particles from the device’s display and put it on one side of the machine, while the screen protector is placed on the other side. Afterwards, the machine is closed, the protector’s wrapping is removed and the screen protector is perfectly placed on the device without any hiccups or air bubble issues. In case the customer feels that it’s not done properly, the Apple store will repeat the process at no additional cost.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the screen protector plus the application costs between $19 to $37 depending on the material and size of the iPhone.
The program is available in Japan, but it will hit other global markets in the near future. We’ll update you as soon as it happens.
