Google has released its latest Android distribution figures, and the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.4 KitKat is now on 1.8 percent of devices, this is up for 1.6 percent in January, so just a small increase for Android KitKat this month.
Still in the top spot is Android Jelly Bean which is now on 60.5 percent of Android devices, and this is broken down with Android 4.1 on 35.5 percent, Android 4.2 on 16.3 percent and Android 4.3 on 8.9 percent.
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is on a total of 16.1 percent of devices, this is down slightly from 16.9 percent last month, we also have Android Honeycomb on just 0.1 percent of devices.
Android Gingerbread is now on 20 percent of devices, this is down from 21.2 percent in January, and finally we have Android 2.2 Froyo on 1.3 percent of devices.
Google mentions that any older versions before Android 2.2 are not included in the latest data, this is because these devices do not support the new Google Play Store app.
