AMD have this week released new Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.3.3 Drivers which bring enhancements and optimisations specifically for the new Mass Effect Andromeda game which officially launched earlier this month and is now available to download and play.
The latest drivers from AMD include support for AMD CrossFire in DirectX 11 mode although you will need to input “-RenderDevice.AmdCrossfireEnable 1” as a command-line argument (set launch options in Origin) explains the Tech Power Up website. This addition is particularly beneficial for gamers who use multiple GPUs, as it allows them to harness the power of more than one graphics card, thereby improving performance and providing a smoother gaming experience.
Fixes and Improvements
The latest software update also provides a fix for the texture flickering issue which has been reported by a number of PC gamers whilst enjoying the new Mass Effect: Andromeda game. Texture flickering can be a significant distraction and can detract from the immersive experience that games like Mass Effect: Andromeda aim to provide. By addressing this issue, AMD ensures that players can enjoy the game as it was meant to be experienced, with rich, stable visuals.
In addition to the texture flickering fix, the 17.3.3 drivers also include various other performance enhancements and bug fixes. These updates are part of AMD’s ongoing commitment to providing the best possible gaming experience for their users. Regular driver updates are crucial for maintaining compatibility with the latest games and technologies, and AMD’s proactive approach helps to keep their hardware running smoothly and efficiently.
