Amazon has only launched a couple of its Amazon Go stores in the US, the stores do not have a checkout and you walk in pickup what you want and then walk out.
The store is so high tech that it is able to determine what you have placed in your shopping bag or basket and then it automatically charges you for the items.
According to a recent report by The Times Amazon is now looking at launching some of its Amazon Go stores outside the US and it has been looking into the UK as a possible place to launch these stores.
Amazon has already trademarked the Amazon Go name in the UK, so this suggests that the company plans to launch its store here. According to the times Amazon is looking at retail store of between 4,000 and 4,000 sq ft for its new Go stores in the UK.
As yet there are no details on when Amazon plans to launch these new stores, the company has four of them in the US so far, so we can expect them to start with a small number of stores in the UK at first.
