Many of us know Alcatel as the manufacturer with a portfolio of low-end and budget smartphones. However, it appears as things are about to change. The manufacturer is working on a high-end device know as Alcatel One Touch Scribe Pro that can challenge the big fishes in the market with ease.
The device has been leaked thanks to the Russian blogger Elder Murtazin, who managed to capture the image of the official presentation showing One Touch Scribe Pro and the specifications it will bring at the table. According to the leaked image, the device is expected to feature a 6 inch display and quad-core 1.5GHz processor. Other specifications include a 13MP rear camera, a massive 3,400 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, a stylus pen and a flip cover with hidden LED lights.
In one of the follow-up tweet, Murtazin also mentioned that the device will go on sale in Hong Kong for an nifty price tag of $300 that rounds up to almost £190. Alcatel is popular for making budget smartphones, and with these specifications, it would be great to see how the device performs against all the big smartphones that are already dominating the market.
There are no details about the launch date of the device but it appears that the device will make its way to various international markets very soon. It is expected that Alcatel will also unveil the device at IFA next month along with Samsung and HTC.
