Makers, hobbyists and developers that have been searching for an affordable mechanical gimbal may be interested in a new gimbal created by Lukari.
The small gimbal has been created to be used in any project that requires a a central origin of rotation and can be used for robotics projects, electronics, camera rotation or anything else you might have in mind.
Lukari explains a little more about their awesome mechanical gimbal creation.
“Most Gimbals use basic cradle/pivot arrangements. We thought we could do better. That is why we developed this deceptively simple Gimbal. The result is an affordable and elegant solution for “looking around”. As we started using the first prototypes we could not put them down.
The Gimbal’s mechanism lets you aim a small object – a camera, a light, a laser, whatever you can fit – with two degrees of freedom using a central origin of rotation. We offer mounts for several items you might want to use, but we look forward to seeing what you will create with it.”
