It has been revealed this week that Acer is planning a new upgrade to its entry-level Acer Swift 1 notebook which was first launched back in 2016 and has been revised every year since with the latest 2018 update adding Intel Pentium Silver N5000 Gemini Lake processors.
Acer has not yet officially made the announcement but the Notebook Check website has spotted details of the new 2018 Acer Swift 1 notebooks listed on the Acer website. Other specifications listed included details of a 14 inch IPS display offering users a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels in supporting the Gemini Lake CPU 4GB of RAM and 256GB of internal solid state storage.
Acer has also included a 4,670 mAh battery capable of providing up to 17 hours of use. together with connections via a USB 3.1 Type-C port, 2 xUSB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB 2.0 port, an SD card slot, and HDMI and headset jacks. Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Acer, but as soon as information comes to light, we will keep you updated as always.
