Porsche has offered up details on the 911 GT3 RS for 2019 ahead of the official debut of the car in Geneva next month. The GT3 RS gets more aero than the outgoing model and uses a 9,000 rpm 4.0L flat-six engine.
That engine makes 520hp and 346 lb-ft of torque. Porsche says that the top speed is 193 mph and it can hit 60mph in 3.0 seconds. The only transmission offering is a 7-speed PDK. One look at the car and you can see Porsche put lots of effort into the aerodynamics.
The car makes more than twice the downforce of the normal 911 GT3 at 124 mph. The interior has carbon fiber seat shells, no rear seats, and a roll bar. Buyers who want to shave more weight can opt for the $18,000 Weissach Package and if you buy that package you can also add the $13,000 magnesium wheels. The 2019 911 GT3 RS will start at $187,500 plus destination.
