Mazda is talking up the second gen CX-9 mid-size crossover. The crossover has three rows of seating and has gained some new options for the 2019 year model. The base CX-9 starts at $32,280. Buyers who opt for the Touring trim or higher will get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility for the infotainment system.
The base CX-9 Sport can be fitted with a Sport Package adding power driver seat, heated front seats, heated door mirrors, automatic headlights, high beam control and lots more for $1,290. Touring trim gains automatic headlights, heated front side mirrors, power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, and several driver assistance technologies. Those include HomeLink, High Beam Control, Lane-Keep Assist, Lane-Departure Warning, full-speed Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Smart Brake Support and Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection.
CX-9 Touring Premium adds power moonroof, Bose audio, navigation, LED fog lamps, and other niceties. Grand Touring adds a 7-inch TFT reconfigurable gauge cluster, ventilated front seats, and power folding door mirrors along with a 360 View Monitor. Touring starts at $35,330, Grand Touring starts at $40,840, and Signature is $45,365 in AWD only. All other versions have FWD or AWD options.
