A new version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia has been unveiled and before you get too excited if you are in the US, we have bad news. The car will reportedly only be sold in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. The Veloce will get the option of a 2.0L turbo gas engine or a 2.2L turbo-diesel engine. That gas engine makes 206kW and 400Nm of torque.
Those who prefer diesel power will get 154kw and 470Nm of torque. Both engines use the same 8-speed automatic trans and the Q4 AWD system. Under normal driving conditions the car operates in 100% rear-wheel drive mode.
If the surface is slippery, the car can transfer up to 60% of the torque to the front axel. The new Veloce fits right in the gap between the normal Giulia and the Quadrifoglio version packing a Ferrari V6. The car will launch in early 2017 in Europe and gets some tweaks on the outside to up the style factor. That includes new bumpers, black door trim, a new rear diffuser, sport seats, xenon headlight, aluminum interior trim and different wheels.
