The last time we heard anything about the new 12 inch MacBook Air was back in March, although according to a recent report, this new larger MacBook Air will go into production some time in quarter three.
As well as a new 12 inch MacBook Air, there have also be rumors about Apple launching a 12 inch MacBook Pro, but there appear to be no more details on this model at the moment.
The 12 inch MacBook Air is apparently being built for Apple by Quanta Computer, this is something we have heard in the past, and the device is rumored to come with a Retina Display.
This new larger MacBook Air is rumored to come with a range of design changes over the existing model, which will include the internal battery layout on the device, it is said to feature a unibody design which is similar to existing versions of the MacBook Air.
There have also been rumors in the past about a larger 12 inch iPad, this was also rumored to be made by Quanta Computer, although this has apparently been delayed and it is not expected to launch until some time in 2015.
If the new 12 inch MacBook Air does go into production in quarter three, that would mean that it could launch some time in late quarter three or early quarter four, which could give us a possible launch date for late in September or early in October.
As soon as we get some more information on this larger MacBook Air, including specifications and details on exactly when it will be available, we will let you guys know.
