A group of 3D printing enthusiasts from Stanford University with a passion for building the next generation of 3D printers, have created new solution for those of you that would like to create 3D printed objects with integrated electronics.
Rabbit Proto is a print head add-on that easily plugs into your 3D printer, enabling it to print complex conductive traces within your 3D design. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the Rabbit Proto project and see it in action.
“Rabbit Proto, an open source project re-definining 3D printing. Rabbit Proto makes plugins that easily integrate into your 3D printer, enabling it to print complex conductive traces within 3D designs. Your 3D printer can now print interactive prototypes with capacitive and conductive features.
Designers and makers can now radically speed up their prototyping and ideation process, going from computer design to interactive prototype with just one click”
If you are interested in the new Rabbit Proto the project source code, documentation, and example designs are open source and available on GitHub. You can also pre-order your Rabbit Proto solution direct from the official website.
