Sony has released a new commercial for its upcoming launch of their new PS Vita portable gaming console. Unlike their previous attempt to create an informative commercial, the new one actually shows a little more of the PS Vita. Watch the “Coming Soon” trailer after the jump.

PS Vita: A Closer Look
As a recap, the new Sony PS Vita is equipped with a 5 inch, 16 million color 960 x 544 OLED multi-touchscreen, powered by an ARM Cortex A9 processor, supported by 512MB of RAM and 128MB of VRAM, and fitted with twin cameras. The OLED screen is particularly noteworthy for its vibrant colors and deep blacks, which promise to make gaming on the go a visually stunning experience. The multi-touch capabilities of the screen also allow for more interactive and engaging gameplay, making it a significant upgrade from previous handheld consoles.
The ARM Cortex A9 processor ensures that the PS Vita can handle complex games with ease, providing smooth and responsive performance. This is complemented by the 512MB of RAM, which allows for efficient multitasking and quick loading times. The 128MB of VRAM further enhances the graphical capabilities of the console, ensuring that even the most demanding games run smoothly.
Innovative Features and Games
One of the standout features of the PS Vita is its twin cameras, which open up new possibilities for augmented reality (AR) gaming. These cameras can be used to overlay digital elements onto the real world, creating immersive and interactive gaming experiences. For example, in the game “Reality Fighters,” players can use the cameras to place their fighters in real-world environments, adding a new layer of excitement to the gameplay.
The PS Vita also includes a rear touchpad, which provides an additional method of input. This touchpad can be used in various ways, such as controlling characters or interacting with the game environment. For instance, in the game “Little Deviants,” players can use the rear touchpad to manipulate the terrain and solve puzzles, adding a unique twist to the gameplay.
The PS Vita will be finally launching on 22nd February 2012 together with 11 new games. Some of the highly anticipated titles include “Uncharted: Golden Abyss,” which brings the popular Uncharted series to the handheld console with stunning graphics and engaging gameplay. Another exciting title is “Wipeout 2048,” a futuristic racing game that takes full advantage of the PS Vita’s powerful hardware to deliver fast-paced and visually impressive races.
In addition to these launch titles, the PS Vita has a strong lineup of upcoming games that promise to keep players entertained for months to come. Games like “Gravity Rush,” which features innovative gravity-based gameplay, and “Persona 4 Golden,” an enhanced version of the critically acclaimed RPG, are just a few examples of the diverse and high-quality games that will be available on the PS Vita.
