iBand d3o iPhone Case
We have seen tons of different cases for the iPhone 3G and 3GS, the latest one adds a bit of extra protection to your iPhone, the iBand d30 iPhone case.
What makes this case stand out from the crowd is that it uses a gel like material called d30, and whilst it may feel like a standard silicone case for your iPhone, d30 transforms into a more solid material upon impact.

So if you drop your iPhone, you have a much better chance of it being protected, and according to the manufacturer the iBand iPhone case will give you up to 134% more protection compared to other cases.
At rest, the molecules inside d3o move freely, making it soft and flexible, while at the point of impact or shock, the molecules lock together to spread and absorb the force, safeguarding your iPhone 3G & 3G’s in a protective layer.
It certainly sounds very interesting, and would be a great way to protect your precious iPhone from knocks and bumps.

This thing is a huge rip off. It is not soft and flexible – it feels like a hard used auto tire. The side buttons are impossible to access since there are no cutouts and you can’t press through the material either. The back does not protect the rear of the iPhone since it’s too slim.

Same here – i’ve just returned mine. Rock hard, impossible to lock or mute the phone when it’s on.
