Google Unveils Acer 11.6 inch SSD Chromebook For $349

At Google I/O today Google has taken the wraps off its new Acer Chromebook system equipped with a 11.6 inch 1,366 x 768-pixel 16:9 screen and powered by an Intel Atom N570 processor supported by 2GB RAM.

The new netbook is also equipped with a 16Gb SSD drive and 1.3 megapixel camera and will be soon available to purchase for a bargain price of $349, for the Wi-fi only version. If you would prefer a 3G equipped netbook this is also available as an option for an additional cost.

Other features of the new Acer Chromebook include a 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo speakers, 2 x USB, 1 x HDMI and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity.

The new Acer Chromebook was showcased alongside the Samsung Series 5 Chrome Notebook and both will go on sale on June 15th.
