Cool Gadgets – The 4GB USB Thumb Drive with built in TV Tuner

Check out this cool 4GB USB Thumb drive the Buffalo DH-KONE4G/U2DS.

It features a 1Seg TV tuner built in, so you can watch TV on your laptop or PC, it can also record TV from the tuner direct to the memory on the thumb drive.

The 4GB of storage will let you record up to 20 hours of TV.

No word on pricing or availability as yet.

hould work for about a 6 month period. Then be useless in the US. Remeber we are going to digital in june 09?

The above commenters are on the wrong track, but still more or less correct.

The TV tuner would not work in the US, but not because we’re soon switching to digital TV signals. “It features a 1Seg TV tuner built in…” 1Seg is a digital signal… But one that’s only used in Japan and Brazil

i got a digital usb Dtv tuner for 50 bucks from newegg.
sans the 4 gig storage, which here it’s probably slower so i’m not crying about it.
