It has been some time since Apple [AAPL] updated its Mac Pro computer range, the latest rumor doing the rounds is that Apple are set to release a new version of the Mac pro, and the update could come as early as next Tuesday the 16th of March.
According to ZDNet, the next generation Mac Pro will feature Intel’s new Core i7-980x Extreme six core processor, with a clock speed of 3.33GHZ and a TurboBoost to 3.6GHz.
With the recent announcement of the Steam Gaming platform for Apple Macs, Mac gaming is about to get a lot more exciting. Now gaming peripherals maker Razer has an announced that it will be offering full support for Macs on its existing and upcoming gaming accessories.
Razer will be adding Mac support to all its new gaming peripherals as well as offering drivers for existing Razer products.

Apple has released the latest Beta version of the iPhone SDK, to developers, iPhone 3.2 SDK Beta 4. The guys over at 9 To 5 Mac have uncovered some interesting new Gesture Controls in the latest build of the iPhone SDK.
The iPhone SDK 3.2 is due to launch at the same time as the Apple iPad, and these new gesture controls are likely to be on the iPad at launch.

It turns out that HTC were warned by Apple [AAPL] on a number of occasions about infringing the iPhone’s patents with multi touch features in the HTC smartphones.

According to John Gruber of Daring Fireball, the iPad will not feature the Calculator, Clock, and Stocks application that are currently shipped with the iPhone.
It seems that Apple [AAPL] hasn’t finished its crackdown on the iPhone App store just yet, after recently removing any adult themed applications and also all the WiFi detector applications, Apple’s next target is ‘cookie cutter’ style applications.
These applications are basically applications which according to Apple has similar functionality to websites, so basically RSS reader applications like our own Geeky Gadgets iPhone App.
Last week we told you that there was a possibility that Valve would bring their popular Steam gaming platform to Apple Macs. Good news for all the Mac users out there as Valve has officially confirmed that its Steam gaming platform will be available for Macs from April 2010.
Some of the games that will be available on the Steam for Mac platform at launch will include the popular, Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series.
With the shipping date slipping for Apples new iPad most thought the delays were down to hardware supplies and manufacturing but apparently this area is all good to go.
