ZTE has announced that one of their Android smartphones, the ZTE N880E, will now come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. The device was originally launched back in May.
As well as Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, the ZTE N880E features a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by a single-core Qualcomm 1GHz processor, which ensures a smooth and responsive user experience for everyday tasks.
“ZTE has an excellent relationship with Google and this, combined with our extensive R&D capabilities and our experience of customising devices for partners around the world, means we are able to bring new technologies to market very quickly,” said Mr. Kan Yulun, Vice President and CTO of the Handset Division, ZTE. “Our aim is to provide the best quality customer experience for the best value, and the N880E is a great example of this.”
Enhanced User Experience with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean brings a host of improvements and new features to the ZTE N880E. One of the most notable enhancements is Project Butter, which makes the user interface smoother and more responsive. This is achieved through triple buffering in the graphics pipeline, which reduces lag and improves touch responsiveness.
Another significant feature of Jelly Bean is Google Now, an intelligent personal assistant that provides real-time information based on your search history and preferences. For example, it can show you the weather forecast, traffic updates, and even remind you of upcoming appointments. This makes the ZTE N880E not just a smartphone, but a smart companion that helps you manage your day more efficiently.
Comprehensive Specifications for Everyday Use
Other specifications on the handset include 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage. While 4GB may seem limited, the device also features a microSD card slot, allowing users to expand the storage capacity up to 32GB. This is particularly useful for those who need extra space for apps, photos, and media files.
The ZTE N880E is equipped with a 1,650 mAh battery, which provides a decent amount of usage time for a device in this category. Whether you’re browsing the web, checking emails, or using social media, the battery life should be sufficient for most users.
In terms of photography, the device comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera. While it may not compete with higher-end smartphones, it is adequate for casual photography and capturing everyday moments. The camera also supports basic features like autofocus and video recording.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth and WiFi, ensuring that you can stay connected whether you’re at home, in the office, or on the go. The inclusion of these features makes the ZTE N880E a versatile device suitable for various connectivity needs.
In summary, the ZTE N880E offers a balanced mix of features and performance, making it a compelling choice for budget-conscious consumers. With the addition of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, users can enjoy a more refined and responsive experience, along with the benefits of Google’s latest software innovations.
