Apple has not closed the signing for iOS 8.1, which means that users who have downloaded the latest version of Apple’s mobile OS, iOS 8.1.1 can no longer downgrade to the previous version.
Apple released iOS 8.1 back in October, and this version of iOS was the first to launch with Apple’s mobile payment system, Apple Pay.
With Apple closing the signing on iOS 8.1. this means that you can no longer downgrade from iOS 8.1.1 to iOS 8.1 should you want too, unless you jailbreak your device.
iOS 8.1.1 is available for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, it is also available for the 5th generation iPod Touch and both models of the iPad Air, the three versions of the iPad Mini and the iPad 2, iPad 2 and iPad 4.
