Fans of the awesome XCOM: Enemy Unknown series of games are sure to be pleased to learn that a new update has been released for the iOS version of the game which brings with it support for multiplayer gaming.
In a press release today 2K Games the developers of the XCOM series of titles unveiled their new iOS 7 version brings with it new features together with iOS 7 optimisation and a newly implemented leaderboards system as well as awesome asynchronous multiplayer.
Once the latest update has been installed on to an iOS device, players can then create their own custom multiplayer squads of both soldiers and aliens and battle head-to-head asynchronously against friends and other gamers worldwide via Apple’s Gain Centre service.
The new XCOM update is free to download and is now available from the Apple iTunes App Store and supports iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. To celebrate the release of the new update the iOS XCOM: Enemy Unknown game is currently on special offer until October 13th and is available to purchase for half its normal selling price of $9.99 (normally $19.99), directly from the Apple iTunes App Store. So don’t delay if you haven’t already tried and tested this amazing series of games.
