Developers that create add-ons for the hugely popular World of Warcraft game will be interested to know that Blizzard Entertainment has this week released 8.0 Release Notes for Wow Addon Developers. The Peter development stage for the new content Battle for Azeroth is now underway and will officially launch in a few months time on August 14th, 2018.
As you would expect the new Battle for Azeroth beta edges one step closer to a final gold release and now the Alpha test phase has come to a close all Alpha characters have been wiped. Although during the beta development stage Blizzard will also enable character copy from live servers so that players may use their own characters in the Battle for Azeroth beta.
“With the release of Battle for Azeroth Beta, the WoW User Interface team would like to highlight some upcoming changes that will affect addon developers. Many of these changes are already in place on the Beta realms, while some others will not be in place until the BFA pre-patch. If you aren’t an addon developer, this list will probably not be of much interest to you.”
