World War Z developer Saber Interactive has revealed this week that the game has already sold over 1 million units in its first week since launch mainly thanks to the Epic Games Store. The World War Z game is loosely based on the 2006 book of the same name and set in the same universe as the 2013 film adaptation.
The World War Z game follows groups of survivors of a zombie apocalypse in the cities of Moscow, New York, Jerusalem, and Tokyo. Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch explained more about the impressive sales of the World War Z game :
“Saber is extremely thrilled by the performance of the game on all platforms. On the PC specifically, we are performing way above expectations thanks to the support we have received from the Epic Games Store. Moving forward, we’ll continue to work on growing the game and its community with new improvements, stability updates and bonus gameplay content, beginning very soon with a special new mission for the Tokyo episode.”
The World War Z game is now available to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC systems officially launched earlier this month on April 16th, 2019. Offering third person shooter with both single player and multiplayer modes.
