Wolfram Alpha has this week launched a new application for PC following in the footsteps of its previous mobile applications for Android and iOS devices.
The latest instant expert knowledge and computation app will now be heading to PCs soon, and thanks to a partnership with Intel the company will also make the new app available to Ultrabooks via Intel’s AppUp center.
The new Wolfram Alpha application designed for PCs brings with it an optimised full screen interface, together with extended copy and paste of query results and graphics, a custom keyboard and full screen interface design.
“Across thousands of domains–with more continually added–Wolfram|Alpha uses its vast collection of algorithms and data to compute answers and generate reports for you. Parts of Wolfram|Alpha are used in the Apple Siri Assistant; this app gives you access to the full power of the Wolfram|Alpha computational knowledge engine. “
The new Wolfram Alpha PC app is now available to download for $2.99 from the Intel Appup store. No word on whether it will be coming for Mac or Linux system in the future.
