The Raspberry Pi Foundation has this week launched the latest edition of its Wireframe gaming magazine providing another wealth of insight into how to create your very own games as well as techniques used by larger game development studios to create the latest AAA games. Wireframe Magazine Issue 24 is now available to download as a PDF or via the magazines companion applications available for both Android and iOS, or can be ordered as a physical copy that can be delivered directly to your door.
In this week’s issue of the awesome Wireframe magazine you can learn more about :
– The code behind Donkey Kong’s dastardly rolling barrels
– A beginner’s guide to making virtual reality games
– Hands-on with Yu Suzuki’s long-awaited Shenmue III
– Across The Groove: a laid-back visual novel from France
“Obsidian’s Carrie Patel and Brian Heins give us the low-down on The Outer Worlds – their pulp sci-fi epic that might just be the studio’s finest game since the majestic Fallout: New Vegas. Elsewhere, we look at how game designers deal with player choice and the power of inevitable fates. Then we take a look at the making of FUZE4 – the new bit of software that brings BASIC programming to the Nintendo Switch.”
