Microsoft has announced that Windows 8 RTM (Release to Manufacturing) will land in the first week of August, and Windows 8 will be released in October 2012.
The news was announced by Microsoft’s Tami Reller at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Canada today, and he said that Windows 8 should be released by late October.
It will be interesting to see what the final version of Windows 8 is like, we suspect that Windows 8 will end up being a popular OS for Microsoft, especially considering the low upgrade cost of Windows 8 from existing Windows versions, which is a first for Microsoft.
