Earlier this year, WhatsApp introduced the much awaited voice calling feature for Android and iOS. It’s been a while since the new feature is available on the those platforms, except Windows Phone.
If you happen to be a Windows Phone user, you be glad to find out that WhatsApp has finally released the highly anticipated voice calling feature for the operating system. The update isn’t too big, but only brings the voice calling feature.
The new feature give users the ability to call their WhatsApp contacts over WiFi or mobile data — mobile data charges apply. Here’s the complete change log as per Windows Phone Store:
- WhatsApp Calling: Call your friends and family using WhatsApp for free, even if they’re in another country. WhatsApp calls use your phone’s Internet connection rather than your cellular plan’s voice minutes. Data charges may apply. Available on Windows Phone 8+.
- You can now send audio files (available on Windows Phone 8.1+).
Head over to the Windows Phone Store and grab the updated WhatsApp for Windows Phone to enjoy voice calling. Let us know if it’s works as mentioned using the comments below.
