Gamers who have just purchased the new Watch Dogs game which launched today on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Have reported experiencing problems logging in to the Uplay service which is required to play the Watch Dogs game.
The Watch Dogs logging in issues seem to be affecting all gamers across both consoles and PC. although console owners are able to bypass the Uplay login, however PC players are required to use it to register the game.
Ubisoft has recognised the fact that there are issues with the authentication services, but are causing long delays when gamers are trying to login to the Watch Dogs game. The company has updated players on the issue via the official Watch Dogs Twitter account stating that the situation is being addressed and is improving.
To accompany the launch of the new Watch Dogs game Ubisoft also launched a companion application that enables mobile users to compete against console players in head-to-head games and is now available for both Android and iOS devices. Watch Dogs will be launching on the Nintendo Wii U later this year.
A new Season Pass is also availablel that will provide gamers with access to a variety of additional single-player content. Together with a new mini-campaign starring supporting character T-Bone, along with three additional missions and five costumes for use in the game’s core single-player campaign. The Season Pass is now available for $19.99.
