US retailer Walmart has announced that they will start offering Apple’s iPhone 4 and 5 with a range of no contract plans from Straight Talk Wireless starting this Friday, the 11th of January.
Apple’s iPhone will be available on a flat rate plan which costs $45 per month. For this price, you get unlimited calls, text, and data. Customers will have the choice between Apple’s iPhone 4 and the new iPhone 5.
Walmart will be offering the 16GB iPhone 5 for $649 and an 8GB iPhone 4 for $449. In addition to the $45 a month plan, there will also be a $60 a month Straight Talk plan which will give you unlimited international calls to a range of countries.
Benefits of No Contract Plans
No contract plans have become increasingly popular among consumers who seek flexibility and affordability. Unlike traditional carrier contracts, no contract plans do not lock you into a long-term commitment, allowing you to switch plans or carriers without incurring hefty termination fees. This is particularly beneficial for those who may need to adjust their plans based on changing needs or financial situations.
Straight Talk Wireless, which operates on major networks like AT&T and Verizon, offers robust coverage and reliable service. The $45 plan provides unlimited calls, texts, and data, making it an attractive option for heavy data users. The $60 plan, which includes unlimited international calls, is ideal for those who have family or business connections abroad.
Comparing iPhone 4 and iPhone 5
When choosing between the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5, it’s important to consider the differences in features and performance. The iPhone 5, being the newer model, offers several enhancements over the iPhone 4. It features a larger 4-inch Retina display compared to the iPhone 4’s 3.5-inch screen, providing a better viewing experience for videos, games, and web browsing.
The iPhone 5 is also equipped with the A6 chip, which delivers faster performance and improved graphics compared to the A4 chip in the iPhone 4. This makes the iPhone 5 more suitable for running demanding apps and multitasking. Additionally, the iPhone 5 supports LTE connectivity, offering faster internet speeds compared to the 3G capabilities of the iPhone 4.
For those who prioritize storage, the 16GB iPhone 5 offers more space for apps, photos, and media compared to the 8GB iPhone 4. However, the iPhone 4 remains a solid choice for users who need a reliable smartphone for basic tasks and are looking for a more budget-friendly option.
In conclusion, Walmart’s offering of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 with no contract plans from Straight Talk Wireless provides consumers with flexible and affordable options. Whether you need a high-performance device with the latest features or a dependable phone for everyday use, these plans cater to a variety of needs and preferences.
