A demonstration video has been created providing a look at what it’s like to play the popular first-person shooter (FPS) video game Counter-Strike, whilst wearing the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset and using the Virtuix Omni Treadmill to provide deep virtual reality immersion in the CSS game.
As some of our readers might already know the Virtuix Omni Treadmill has been designed to provide gamers with an immersive feeling of being more involved within any game they might play, taking VR to the next level.
The Virtuix Omni Treadmill allows players to walk in the direction they would like their in-game character to move. Check out the video below to see what it’s like to play Counter-Strike using the new Virtuix Omni Treadmill. Its creators explain a little more:
“The Virtuix Omni takes virtual reality to the next level, allowing anyone to stand up and traverse virtual worlds with their own feet. The Virtuix Omni is the first virtual reality interface for moving freely and naturally in your favorite game. Moving naturally in virtual reality creates an unprecedented sense of immersion that cannot be experienced sitting down.”
The Virtuix Omni Treadmill is currently available to preorder for $499 with delivery expected to start in September 2014. For more information on the new Virtuix Omni jump over to the for details.
